Hey there! I'm Christy!

Working with client after client caught in the cycle of restrictive dieting, grappling with unrealistic food rules, battling emotional/binge eating, and contending with negative body image, I realized just how many women have an altered relationship with food and their body. Working alongside a group of clinical counsellors who were facing challenges in supporting this unique population further illuminated the need for qualified clinicians in this niche, and inspired me to enhance my expertise in this area.

Over the past few years I have completed specialized courses and deepen my expertise in the realm of disordered eating, body image, binge/emotional eating and mindful and intuitive eating. Seeing the amazing transformations my clients achieve though our work together has grown my passion for working in this specialized area. Creating a low cost program that is accessible to everyone has always been my dream. I am excited to finally combine my expertise as a nutritionist and occupational therapist, along with my education and clinical experience in this niche, to offer a low cost program to help even more women find food freedom!

The Food Freedom Mastery Program is built on the intuitive and mindful eating principals, HAES Philosophy, & Gentle Nutrition Research & Practices.

The Food Freedom Mastery Program takes you through 8 modules over our 8 weeks together. Each module includes a presentation, module guide (E-book), AND homework to directly apply the content. The 8 modules cover the following topics:

Getting Started With Food Freedom

In week 1 we explore the intricacies of mindset, lay the groundwork for food freedom, learn how to cultivate sustainable habits, and master the art of goal setting – establishing a solid foundation for the subsequent modules.

Metabolic Mastery - What Does The Science Say?

In Week 2, we delve deep into the intricacies of metabolism, energy balance, and the scientific rationale behind why diets fall short. We dismantle common myths surrounding nutrition and dieting, paving the way for a more informed and empowered approach to wellness, and an improved relationship with food.

Food Neutrality - Balancing a Non-Judgemental Relationship With Food

We explore the liberating concept of food neutrality in this module, where we break free from the shackles of labeling foods as 'good' or 'bad.' Embrace a balanced perspective that fosters a healthy relationship with food, allowing you to savour the joys of eating without judgment or guilt.

Becoming an Intuitive Eater

We dive into the transformative world of intuitive eating in this module, where we learn to reconnect with our body's natural cues and trust its signals.

Learning to Eat Mindfully

We embark on a journey of mindful eating in this module, exploring the art of savouring each bite and cultivating a deeper connection with our meals. We learn to engage our senses, break free from distractions, and nourish both body and mind through the practice of conscious, intentional eating.

Nutrition Harmony - Approaches To Foster Nutritional Balance and Counter Disordered Eating Habits

In Week 6, we delve into the profound influence of nutrition on our eating habits, unraveling the intricate interplay of macronutrients, micronutrients, phytonutrients, and gut health. We also explore how the quantity and timing of our meals can play a crucial role in overcoming emotional and binge eating patterns.

Building a Better Body Image

In week 7, we navigate the complex terrain of body image, exploring the factors that shape our perceptions and feelings towards our bodies. Discover strategies to cultivate a positive and nurturing relationship with your body, fostering a sense of acceptance and appreciation for the unique and wonderful vessel that carries you through life.

Putting it All Together for Lifelong Success (sustainability)

In our 8th and final week we bring together the key insights and strategies from previous modules, offering a comprehensive review of the journey to food freedom. We also delve into the crucial concept of self-care, exploring practices that contribute to overall well-being and support the ongoing cultivation of a positive relationship with food and body.
